COVID 19 update April 2020

The Corona Virus has spread all across the world. There are now 1 million cases world wide. The governor has ordered a shelter in place order basically indicating that people stay home except for essential trips like going to the store for supplies.

At this time, Carol and I are both working from home. Both of our agencies are considered 'Essential' and so we both are working full time and collecting our full salaries at this point. The dogs are enjoying the fact that we are working from home as they now have a greater opportunity to come and go from the house as they please.

Please stay safe everyone and if you have the opportunity to travel, please have safe travels.

Courtneys Wedding - March 2020

In early March we attended Tommy Waites daughters (Courtney's) wedding in the Novato area. We were hard pressed to find a RV park in the area, but we ended up locating one that we actually later realized we had stayed at before. When we arrived at the park, the local Red Cross and Fire agency were checking with all of the park residents to ensure that everyone smoke detectors were in working order. The vast majority of the residents at the park are permanent residents.

Upon arrival we set up camp and then met up with a number of the family members for lunch. After lunch, we went home and prepared for the wedding. Here is a video about Courtney's wedding.

The wedding was a very happy affair with everyone in attendance having a great time.

We spent the night in Novato and then returned home to Rancho Cordova the next morning.

Safe travels everyone!

COVID 19 virus - January 2020

In early January of 2020, a new corona Virus was discovered in Wuhan China which appears to have been contracted in a live food market.

The president has ordered that transportation between China and the United States. A lot of people in China who are contracting the Virus are getting violently sick and they are experiencing a lot of Deaths.

The city of Wuhan is on lock down. Hopefully this virus does not spread and cause problems to our country or world wide.

Safe travels everyone,

Welcoming Pirate to hour family - Nov. 14 2019

Earlier this month we lost our beloved Rosie to bone cancer. Rosie was always the dominate in the Charlie Rosie relationship, but after Rosie left us, Charlie definitely seemed to miss her. Even when she was put to sleep, he placed himself between Rosie and the Doctor as if to protect her from any harm the doctor might bring.

With Charlie not having a pal to go through life with, we knew it was time to start looking for a pal for him. Carol started looking at dogs that might be at the Front Street shelter where I film dogs and make adoption videos, and picked out a few for me to look at as possible buddies for Charlie.

One sunday that I was at the shelter, I met a few of the possible candidates, and one dog in particular, 'Pirate' stood out as real winner. He is a rambunctious puppy like guy who is supposedly 13 months old.

Pirate has done well in meeting most people and we are loving having him join us in everything we do.

Here is a video about Pirate.

Safe Travels everyone,

Cutting the Cord

In 2019, we cut the cord and have stopped using TV provided through any sort of subscription. We have used Cable TV, Satellite TV and TV over twisted pair (basically through the DSL connection). We've cut the cord and are not using any of them any more. Now, we are once again getting our TV service from over-the-air broadcasters here in the Sacramento area.

We find that we really don't miss the cable or satellite service. Though we have some pixilation problems at times due to foul weather, all in all, we are very happy with our over the air tv reception.

Safe travels everyone.
