LaWren Wagoner

Ever since Carol's first day working at Cal Fire, LaWren Wagoner had been working along side her as an exam analyst in the HR department. The ladies in the Exam unit have, for a number of years had an annual 'Girls Weekend out' trip to get away from it all and to see some place new. In 2015, when the ladies were on their trip to Las Vegas, LaWren was looking a little ill and went to a hospital. Doctors in Las Vegas performed some tests and were able to make LaWren feel a little better. However, Doctors let LaWren know that they were concerned and wanted her to see her regular doctor as soon as possible.

Upon her return home, LaWren found out shortly there after from her Doctors that she had pancreatic cancer and she immediately started treatment to fight it. The subsequent years LaWren returned to work and enjoyed life with her friends and family. One of the highlights was the ability for LaWren, along with her husband Walt, having the opportunity to witness her daughter Kamree marry the man of her dreams Kory Willhelm and start a life of their own.

All the while LaWren continued to wage her valiant battle against the pancreatic cancer. Despite the fight she was waging, LaWren made the most of her life including trips to see Kamree's new home in Louisiana and still get away with her co-workers including Carol, Tiffany and Dianna on their annual girls trips out of town.

Early in February, LaWren ended her long battle with Pancreatic cancer. LaWren's husband Walt passed away in 2018, and now, LaWren too is able to rest in peace.

We miss you LaWren, we love you and your family. We always have, and we always will.

Safe travels all!
Eric and Carol Anderson
