We are back!

Well, it has been a couple years since we have been blogging and we have regained full control of our blog so we are back on the air! We got really involved in Dog Rescue for the last four years here in the Sacramento area, and the vast majority of our free time was spent microblogging to help dogs get adopted from a rescue by the name of Chako Pit Bull Rescue and Advocacy. After four years, Eric found that he was running behind on his honey do list around the motorhome and both Eric and Carol were suffering from some Compassion Fatigue so they needed to take a break from rescue. During our involvement with Chako however, we have met some wonderful friends who we will cherish for years to come. We have adopted out countless dogs, and also put together over 200 adoption videos of dogs that we and other Chako volunteers have worked tirelessly to find homes for.

In the last two years, Carol has been promoted from Personnel Selection Technician to Staff services Analyst and then most recently to Associate Government Personnel Analyst, all while she has been working for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection or Cal-Fire.

Eric was promoted to Senior Programmer Analyst at the California Department of Social Services and in September of 2016, Eric took a Lateral transfer to California Department of Corrections. Eric took the lateral because he wasn't able to come to an agreement with his management on the way his career was going. Eric is happy to report that he is very happy in his new position! :-)

We have been living comfortably full time in the Allegro Bus motorhome for  over 6 years now and we still live in the same park in Rancho Cordova California, just east of Sacramento.

Some of the projects that we have been working on around the house lately include:
  • Updating the flooring in the living room.
  • Updating the window blinds.
  • Updating the kitchen and sink area back splashes.
  • We've also been to a couple of east coast weddings as well, one of which allowed us to see the White House and a little bit of the Washington DC area as well

So, as you can see, we have been very busy. But, we still try to get out in our rig every month or so, so we are still loving the RVing life style!

We still have Charlie and Rosie to enjoy the vast majority of our adventures with. They are doing great and always a pleasure to have in our lives!

We promise to try to do a better job of keeping our blog updated in the months and years to come!

Safe Travels!

Eric and Carol Anderon

Great to hear from you guys. So does this mean that I won't be getting those e-mails in your blog? I can't imagine how heart warming and yet heart breaking it would be to work so closely with pet adoption.
